KHARKIV, UKRAINE — Nnani Adaobi Marian, a 23-year-old Nigerian medical graduate, has reportedly died after sustaining critical injuries during a Russian airstrike in Kharkiv, Ukraine. According to reports shared by individuals familiar with the incident, Marian was transferred to Germany for specialist treatment but later died from complications arising from her injuries, only days before her scheduled graduation ceremony.
Sources said the airstrike struck parts of Kharkiv during a fresh wave of attacks on the eastern Ukrainian city. Marian reportedly suffered life-threatening injuries before medical personnel moved her to a hospital in Germany for advanced care. The same reports also claimed that another Nigerian student, identified as Fatima, died during the attack.
According to accounts shared by friends and associates, Marian had successfully completed her medical studies and was preparing for her graduation when the incident occurred.
