About Us – Extra News Nigeria (ENN)

Extra News Nigeria (ENN) is an independent digital news platform headquartered in Owerri, Imo State, Nigeria. The platform was founded in June 2025 by Comrade Ugo Chima George, a political scientist, writer, and publisher with over 5 years of experience in political analysis and community journalism in Southeast Nigeria.

ENN was created to bridge the gap in timely, credible, and grassroots-focused reporting for Nigerians at home and in the diaspora.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: to deliver accurate, timely, unbiased, and people-centered news without fear or favour. We focus on stories that matter to ordinary Nigerians, with special attention to:

Extra News Nigeria is not a one-man blog. We operate with a small but dedicated team:

Publisher/Editor-in-Chief: Comrade Ugo Chima George – Based in Owerri, responsible for editorial direction and policy.
Field Writers: Two dedicated reporters based in Owerri and Lagos covering politics, security, and metro news daily.
