Mr Jollof said he personally knows a woman in Delta State who spent more than two decades selling roasted plantain and beans and used the earnings to sponsor more than five children through tertiary education. He argued that the success story shows that small businesses should not be looked down on.
In his remarks, the comedian said, “I know a woman here in Delta State who, for over 20 to 30 years, used the money she made from selling roasted plantain and beans to train more than five children through university.” He maintained that many Nigerians have built successful lives and supported their families through small businesses and informal trading.
