LAGOS, LAGOS STATE — The Lagos State Police Command says it has arrested five suspected cultists during coordinated operations in the Apapa, Ijora, and Badia areas of Lagos. Police said officers also recovered weapons and other items from the suspects as part of efforts to improve security in the affected communities.
According to the command, the suspects allegedly belonged to groups that had been causing fear and disrupting public peace in the three areas. Police said officers acted on intelligence before carrying out the operation that led to the arrests. The command added that security personnel recovered weapons and substances suspected to be illicit from the suspects during the raid.
