ASABA, DELTA — The Delta State Government has approved a N22.69 billion contract for the reconstruction of the Otu-Jeremi/Udu Road, a key transport corridor expected to improve connectivity and stimulate economic activities across affected communities. The approval followed a meeting of the State Executive Council, according to a government statement.
The government said the project forms part of its commitment to improving road infrastructure and expanding access to rural and urban communities. According to officials, reconstructing the road will ease the movement of people and goods while reducing travel time for residents, businesses and commuters who rely on the route daily.
A statement from the state government explained that the project aligns with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s infrastructure development agenda.
