ILORIN, KWARA — Iru Ekun, a security network associated with Sunday Igboho, has announced the rescue of a kidnapped woman from Oyo State and her son during an operation in Kwara State. According to a statement issued by the group, its operatives located the victims and secured their release following a confrontation with the suspected abductors.
The group said the operation followed intelligence gathering that led operatives to the location where the victims were allegedly being held. According to the statement, the rescue team engaged the suspects before successfully bringing the woman and her son to safety. The security network did not disclose the identities of the rescued victims or provide further details about the operation.
In its statement, Iru Ekun said the victims had reunited with their family after the rescue.
