FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA — Megan Symone Scott, 31, has been charged with three counts of involuntary manslaughter and several other offences after a crash that claimed the lives of her three young sons in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Court documents said the incident happened on June 3 after officers attempted to stop her vehicle.
Investigators alleged that Scott drove away from the traffic stop and reached speeds of about 111 miles per hour before losing control of her car. Authorities said the vehicle crossed the centre line, left the road and struck a tree. The children were reportedly not properly secured inside the vehicle.
