President Bola Tinubu has congratulated Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila and House Leader Julius Ihonvbere on their birthdays.

ABUJA, FCT — Bola Tinubu on Thursday extended warm birthday wishes to Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Governor of Lagos State, who turned 61, his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, who marked his 64th birthday, and House of Representatives Leader, Julius Ihonvbere, who celebrated his 70th birthday. The President’s message was contained in separate statements issued by the Presidency.

Congratulating Sanwo-Olu, Tinubu praised the governor’s leadership and commitment to the growth of Lagos State. He said the governor had successfully combined his private and public sector experience to achieve significant milestones in governance and further strengthen Lagos as a centre of excellence. The President also commended Sanwo-Olu’s loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In his message to Gbajabiamila, Tinubu described his Chief of Staff as a loyal and dedicated public servant who has consistently placed national interest above personal considerations. The President said Gbajabiamila’s years in public service, including his time as Speaker of the House of Representatives, contributed significantly to Nigeria’s democratic development and the growth of the APC.

Tinubu also paid tribute to Ihonvbere, describing him as a statesman, scholar and patriot whose life reflects a commitment to public service. He praised the lawmaker’s role in stabilising the 10th National Assembly and promoting bipartisan cooperation in the House of Representatives. The President further highlighted Ihonvbere’s contributions to education reform and representation of his Owan East/West Federal Constituency in Edo State.

The President prayed for good health, wisdom and many more years of service for the three political figures. He also expressed hope that their contributions to governance and national development would continue to benefit the country in the years ahead.

The development means the Presidency has once again recognised key political allies and senior government officials whose roles remain central to the implementation of the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. The congratulatory messages also underscore the close working relationship between the President and some of the most influential figures in the current administration and the National Assembly.
