ABUJA, FCT — Isaac Fayose has expressed concern over the alleged Presidential Council scandal, saying Nigeria has reached a point where individuals can allegedly create a fake presidential office and collect money from people in the name of the government. Fayose made the remarks while reacting to reports surrounding the controversy.
According to him, the allegations have raised serious questions about accountability and the ability of government institutions to prevent individuals from allegedly using the name of public offices for personal gain. “Nigeria has gotten to a point where an individual can open a fake presidential office and collect money from people in the name of the government. What a country. Yet, up till now, the EFCC and DSS have not arrested anyone,” Fayose said while reacting to the reports.
