LAGOS, NIGERIA , a woman has become the subject of online discussions after a lady shared a story alleging that her friend left her three-month-old baby in her care in 2018 and never returned until recently. According to the social media account, the child has since been raised by the lady and her mother.
The lady claimed her friend visited her home with the infant and later said she was stepping out briefly. She alleged that several hours passed without the woman returning, prompting her family to take the baby to the child’s grandmother. According to her account, the grandmother declined to take responsibility for the child and asked them to leave.
She further claimed that she and her mother had no option but to care for the infant, providing food, clothing and education while raising him as their own. According to her, the child is now approaching his eighth birthday, and the biological mother has suddenly returned demanding custody and insisting she wants her son back.
