BREAKING: A Nigerian man has shared how he moved from driving for e-hailing platforms to securing a full-time job as an electrical technician.

LAGOS, NIGERIA , a Nigerian man has narrated his journey from months without a salary to landing a full-time job after taking up temporary work opportunities to survive. In a post shared on social media, he said he spent eight months without a vacation and without receiving a salary.

According to him, he decided to preserve his dignity by driving for ride-hailing platforms, including Bolt and inDrive, instead of giving up. He said the situation changed when his former boss contacted him to assist with a crane installation project that paid ₦12,500 per day.

The man explained that after completing the one-month project, he was preparing to return to e-hailing when his former boss called again and informed him about another opportunity. He said he negotiated a contract worth ₦20,000 per day to work as an electrical technician on the installation of an entire plant. According to him, an expatriate project manager later noticed his dedication and recommended him for permanent employment with the company.
